need some help with a topic on a paper

I have to write a paper tonight.

I have to write it on a cultural artifact (something that is in my house, that i can bring) and how it ties in with my life and culture. My only problem is, what would be a cultural artifact? I was thinking of using a hard drive, (because there was one sitting on my desk) but i don't know if that would be a cultural artifact.

alot of things could be a cultural artifact. whenever i have to deal with writing things like that, i tend to find something very unconventional and write a fairly humorous (but still accurate, and worthy of a decent grade ) paper on it. makes things more interesting, and you'll be the one person in your class who doesnt have a cookie cutter paper like everyone else. also makes things a bit less mind numbing and boring

Computer
Walkman
clothes
Movie (DVD, vhs, etc)
Music (cd, tape, mp3)
Book
etc...

ok, i think i am going to do it on computers, (or cookie cutters....) and just bring in a hard drive or a mouse or something.
