I need to get a PDA in the next little while but im not sure what exactly i should get. I amd thinking about getting a Tungsten e2 but am unsure if this is a good model or a good value.

I need the PDA to do:

Basic time mangament
mp3 play
Storage for pictures
basic word processing and basic excel

I obviously want color and it must have an expandable memory. Im not brand biased at all but it must be a quality product. My budget is about 200 bucks and i dont mind considering used. All help appreciated.

Look to a Dell Axim x50. You should be able to find the lowest-end model at a good price.

Let me ask you this: Do you currently have cell phone service? If so, you might be able to roll up your cell phone and PDA into a single convergence device.

There is a great PPC phone with slide-out QWERTY keyboard made by HTC called the Wizard (GSM) or Apache (CDMA). You can get it for:
Cingular (GSM)
T-Mobile (GSM)
Verizon (CDMA)
Sprint (CDMA)

Basically anything in the US except Cricket and Nextel. I've got a GSM one in the form of the Qtek 9100 and absolutely love it. It's a little to big to 'pocket', but it's great if you keep it in a belt pouch. Use it with a bluetooth headset, and you don't have to get it out to answer calls. Add in MS Voice Command, and you don't have to get it out to call either. :)

Has to be separate from my cell phone, we are required to have several forms of communication at any time in case one goes down for some reason. One for cell and another that we can get online with through things like wifi.

You want my pda...you want my pda for sale...trying some subliminal messaging here. :)

In the Pocket PC camp, the ipaq 4150 might be in your price range used and has a nice small form factor with builtin wifi; (unfortunately, mine for sale..the 5455) is not exactly tiny. I don't have a lot of experience with the latest Palms. The Dell x50 is not really to bad--size-wise. You might be able to find one at a Dell Kiosk at a mall to get a feel for the size.

I just realized he said he's got a budget of 200 dollars.
That makes things difficult.

Your going to have to scan ebay. And for the love of god, make sure you research the item before you bid on it.
Sometimes the guys selling these things arent sure of the exact features.
