Here is the system so far

Abit KR7A-RAID
Amd xp 1800+
Swiftech MCX462
256MB Mushkin High Performance DDR Sdram 222
Visiontek GF3
Enermax EG465P 431PSU
Maxtor 40 GIG 7200 HD

I'm having 2 problems.

1) The system will Hang after a soft reboot from windows ( No Video ). You have to hit the reset button for it to work and sometimes ya have to do that several times. I think it beeps like 3 times or will beep one long time when it hangs.

2) The other thing has the do with the video. What will happen is macro's will flash different colors ( even in the bios) and text will get will fuc--ed up looking where you can hardley read the letters and text. At first I thought it was the GF3 but it works great in another system so its something else.

If anyone has any ideas please help 🙁

I have a very similiar system one thing you might want to do is move your ram to slot 4. For some reason ram is very touchy on this board. What operating system you running?

Well I'm using win98 for now and was going to switch to winxp when i get my new HD's for raid 0.
And now I find via has a major bug on the pci bus that limits your raid 0 speeds 🙁
Why should I need o raise the voltage when I'm not even overclocking ?
I'll try moving the mem to slot 4 and see what that does

Thanks

It could be the power suppy as ethermax has the longer cables than most, I would increase the I/O voltage for that reason alone.
