Need some help with a ceiling fan.

Here are some pics of the bracket holding it on. we cannot figure out for the life of use how to get the darn thing down. Any help?

Looks like the bracket has slots where the bolts come through. Slide the silver bracket and it should come loose. You can hang the fan from the black hook to unhook the wiring.

Sorry, I should have added more to is. It does look like it slides, but boths sides look like that. So if you slide one side, it hits on the other.

Will the black washers come off?

Hard to say on that fan but most fans hang on a bracket with a ball, push up and slide to the side.

Nah the black washers are metal and connect to the main mount.

Ill go see about the ball slide thing.

Negative on the Sliding. Tried to pry out the black washer peices and its a no go.

Judging from the hook on the right side I would concentrate your efforts on the left side.

Are you sure the lower black bracket does not disconnect from the upper black bracket? The pics are kind of difficult to see clearly since they are so close

OK We got it. Thanks for the help. 20 years of setting up there just got it stuck apparently. We kept tugging and it just broke lose. DOH.
