need some help sniffing the IP of an eBay seller

So here's the story:

I got negged by a shill account on eBay and I think I know the guy's main account. eBay couldn't give a rat's arse unless I can send them header information for both accounts but the guy won't return my questions to him.

Could I enlist a few of you to simply ask him a random question about his item then forward any reply you get? My IP is pretty static so he'd know it was me if he's technically saavy.

Not looking to interfere with him, just want to compare the headers and if they match send them to eBay safety.

Sure there is. The bleeding hearts and a$$hats around here could easily warn the guy off. It happens often enough when auctions of bandwidth thieves are posted.
