Need some help setting up home theater

Well looks like all I needed was a coax cable. I connected the coax from my DVR to receiver, then connected the audio (red/white) inputs from my 360 cables to the receiver, and the component video to back of TV. Luckily the stretch was just perfect on the 360 cable (it's a Y split, so the two 'top' parts of the Y went to diff. places, one to Tv other to receiver).
Bought this for nothing, but I guess I'll need it for something eventually (no idea what).

You will only get stereo sound from the RCA cables. That optical cable will give you surround sound and better-quality sound.
