Hey guys, having some probs getting my laptop to go wireless. It has the internal A/B/G card in it, and I have a D-Link DI-624 Wireless Router.

The issue is, when I press the button that activates the internal wireless card nothing happens. Since this is my first lappy I figure I'm doing something wrong or I'm not doing anything at all.

oh boy, we'll need a lot more info

are you saying there is a physical button you push to activate the wireless card? does it light up when you push it so you know it is on?

down at the taskbar, by the clock, do you have an icon that looks like a computer monitor with two ) ) by it and with an X on it? If so, what happens when you double click it and then click "refresh network list"?

how is your wireless router set up? Does it broadcast the SSID? Are you running WEP? MAC filtering?
