Hi all,

My sister needed a computer in her bedroom for internet. I just finished the build. Here is the cable and networking.

2 story house with a basement. Cable into basement. Up to router in one of the bedrooms on the first floor (niece). Out of router is one cable to another computer on the same level (another niece) and one to an upstairs bedroom (nephew).

She and her husband want to avoid bringing cable into the master bedroom. Can we add a Wireless Router in addition to the wired router and then have a wireless connection to the computer in my sisters room.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, Leigh

They are correct. Just pick up a cheap wireless router and use it as an access point. You basically turn off all the routing features, there should be instructions on how to do this in its manual. As long as your sister's system has a wireless NIC, you should work find.
