Need some help - Only 2gb out of 4gb showing

Just built my new rig:
Gigabyte EP35-DS3L
E8400
G.Skill 4gb (2x2) ddr2 800

BIOS only sees 2gb.

Reset CMOS, reseated the sticks, set the timings manually, nothing helps.

Any suggestions?

Slot 1 and 3 both have 1gb sticks of G.Skill F2-8500CL5-1GBPK

So, did I get screwed by G.Skill then? Because the sticks' labels say 2gb each.

That's what I thought. Are you sure you didn't purchase the wrong item? You should check your invoice. If you did receive the wrong item, or it was mis-packaged you should be able to exchange it with the retailer.

Must have been a mess up at G.Skill. The sticks' labels say 2gb on them and the box says 4gb total.

Time to call G-Skill.

Their support is apparently quite good, I think it will be quick and relatively painless.

Good luck.

Just had to give em my info and now they're sending the new sticks out. They didn't mention anything about returning the old pair though.
