ASUS EAH6670/DIS/1GD5 Radeon HD 6670 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

OR

HIS H657FN2G Radeon HD 6570 2GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

I am still learning all these things and trying to see if the GDDR5 is worth the 1gb memory loss...excuse me if this is a bad reason for opening a thread

Oops btw. I am trying to set my computer up so I have optimal performance for games. Such as Tera

what about the
EVGA 01G-P3-2632-KR GeForce GT 630 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

It has 96 cuda cores while the other gddr5 has 480 stream processors

Should I take this into account?

You can't compare NV and AMD cores directly.I don't remember GT 630's performance but they shouldn't be too far away.Get the 6670 unless you prefer NV.

No I would advise against it.See, 4870X2 is a fast card but it is noisy and get hot pretty first.I owned one and had horrible crossfire issues.

Crossfire = 2 cards working together.
Crossfire Issues = Marriage Issues.
4870 X2 = 2 GPUs (cards) on one physical board. Crossfire on a single card.

Get a 7750 1GB with GDDR5. Shop sales and you'll find one under $80.

See?

You guys have been real great to me, I never expected to receive this level of input so thanks really. One more question though. Should I consider these? PowerColor AX7770 1GBD5-DH Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

OR

SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card ( 11202-00-20G)

If you buy used get MSI, EVGA, or possibly Gigabyte as they are all based of the serial numbers and a possible RMA (warranty repair) will be smoother. Asus is also serial based but they gave me a bad taste on my last RMA so I hesitate to recommend them. (manufactured date = start of the warranty)

If you buy a card that came out in the last year or so you'd have 1-2 yrs of warranty left.

I would recommend buying a card from the for sale section of the forum, or from hardforum.com. Just follow a few basics.

#1 the seller should be reputable with heatware.
#2 use PayPal, no gift payments (fees are like $2 for your budget)
#3 make sure the seller has been around a while.
#4 don't pay over say 75% of retail as you're losing some warranty etc. (unsure about exact percentage)

You'll get a better card than from the store for your $.
Don't hesitate to ask more.
