do u use any joystick or a normal keyboard coz when i play internet games i see people move so fast they are like real godlikes i think its not possible to be that fast with a keyboard ,,, tell me if am wrong

W=move forward
A=move left
S=move backward
D=move left
<space>=jump

Direction and sight are controlled with mouse.

Firing is with mouse button

90% of players use this basic configuration.

As you play more and more this becomes ingrained and natural. I'll bet you $100 that most people who play UT, CS, HL, Q3A put there fingers on WASD when they first sit down at ANY keyboard.
 
i use mouse and kb. kb only was back in the days of quake1 for me. i use actually good at that game with kb only, kicked mousers asses 🙂 but UT really needs a mouse.
 
Scuba, if you are a keyboard-only player like I was for years, make the change to the keyboard-mouse combo. It is very awkward at first and takes a little time to get the hang of, but the benefits are worth it. The way I did it was to take a new game (Serious Sam is the one I used) and use the WASD setup described above to play it. After playing the game for a few days this way I was able to implement this setup into all the other FPS games I play and I haven't looked back since.
 
mouse+keyboard if you wanna stand a chance... remember that the &quot;turn left&quot; and &quot;turn right&quot; are useless keys to map... use &quot;strafe left&quot; and &quot;strafe right&quot; instead... that was my mistake as a newbie. peace out.
 
Ohhh, Definitly the keyboard and mouse combo- the biggest tip I ever got was to enable your &quot;dodging&quot; under---> options,preferences,game. This way you double tap in a direction and you scoot that way faster- helps big time!

yea, if you double-hit a movement button really fast you &quot;dodge&quot; in UT

bah WASD is useless in multiplayer games - I like the letter keys to refer to things I say for my teammates

Home=Move Forward
End =Move Backward
delete = strafe left
page down = strafe right

every single key on my keyboard has something bound to it. I even just bound &quot;Fire&quot; to the numlock key cuz if it doesn't have a bind &amp; you hit in any NumPad buttons won't work
