Going to buy some PC2100 for my system -- Crucial sells two kinds "Non-parity" and "ECC." What's the difference and which on is better? System is a MSI 6366 with a 1GHz PIII.
Congrats on your choice of RAM. "ECC" stands for Error Correcting, which is slower than non-parity RAM. For most purposes, including office work and gaming, you don't realy need ECC, as it is more expensive and is slower (since it corrects errors).
Hope this helps!
