I have been playing PC games for quite some time now, and now i decided to build my own comp. Im buying from newegg.com, and so far this is what i have put together, which comes to about 567 dollars. I just want to know if u have any suggestions on how to save money, better performance for the same cost, or compatibility problems i might encounter, etc etc etc.

AMD Athlon XP 1800+
40gb Maxtor hd 7200rpm
256mb DDR PC2700 Crucial ram --- (i plan on upgrading this to 512 once i have the money 🙂)
MSI KT3 Ultra2 mobo
128mb Albatron GeForce 4 Ti4600
350Watt CODEGEN case
Lite On 52x CD-ROM drive

also need advice on what CPU heatsink to get, because i plan on havin my friend overclock my processor for me, dunno how much though.

If your gonna overclock, look into getting Thermalright's SLK-800 using Vantec's Tornado fan. That will keep your CPU cool. But to warn you, the Tornado fan is LOUD! It has a noise level of 55.2dBA. If your not gonna OC then use either a 80mm Panaflo or Vantech's Stealth fan. To me, silence is golden. Right now i have a XP 2200+(1.8Ghz) with an AX-7/Stealth fan. Temps range from 40C-45C
