Need some help on building a system.

I am looking to build a new system and I am not up to date on the latest processors.
Which would perform better?

P-4 2.6 533fsb
on a MB with 4x AGP and IDE interface ATA-133
and 9700pro

AMD 2600 333fsb
on a MB with 8x AGP and IDE interface ATA-100
and 9700pro

AMD's are better for gaming where as the SSE2 Pentium4 is a bit better for encoding.
