Hi!

Ok i would like to check if theres a possibility to overclock my cpu a littel bit.

My System Specs are:

Maiboard: MSI K8T Neo FISR2
CPU: AMD Athlon64-3000+ Clawhammer
RAM: Corsair XMS 3200
GraphicsCard: Hercules 3D Prophet 9800 Pro 128MB
Colling: CPU Watercooled (AquaComputer Dual Radiator)
CPU Temp @ 1 Hour Burn-in about 43 Degrees Celsius.

Ok , so i check to move the FSB to 210.... arg... Reset...seems this didn`t work.
Is this ram problem?
I switched to the BIOS and set the Meclock Mode to Limit 400....same...the PC resets.

Ok i added some screenshots here:

yes, you would need ram faster then pc3200 if you want to overclock well by fsb. since the multiplier is locked, you have to go by ram. try getting pc 3500 or even higher.

XMS 3200 (CH5) can do 220 MHz @ 6 3 2 2 at Vmem=2.8V on a a7n8x-dlx.
in a K8T800 it should do the same but the LDT multiplier should be lowered to 2.5

You may want to look at this good guide to ocing a a64

hmmm.... look great, but i cant find any option to change mit AGP LDT Multiplier in the BIOS.

I made a screenshot, maye the LDT is called something other here?

So i dunno what to set there. I played around with some lower values, but it seems nothing changed.

Ok.. so i though lets go down with the Option Limit DDR to feature.

I Turned Limit DDR to 200 instead of the Default 400Mhz value.

I popped up CPUZ and Clockgen and turned the HTT Clock to ....blah...look at the screenshot here:

http://www.tma-clan.de/bilder/dakeeper/sm_oc-2-clockgen.JPG

Is this rising the AGP and PCI clocks too? it seems so....or not? i`m confused......

After starting a benchmark the system resetted.

ANy help would be appriciated...and sry for my bad english

WOW AGP should be at 66MHz!!!! PCI at 33 MHZ so back whatever you did down!

turn back what you changed and play with the FSB only in the Frenquency/voltage control in your bios page. don't forget to disable the dynamic overclocking and C&Q :)

I hope this might help a lil!
good luck

uhm maybe the programm show something worng?
I stepped back all i changed, everthing back to Defaults.

ClockGen still shows
CPU 2000.07
HTT: 200.01
Memory: 200.01
AGP: 200.01
PCI 100.00

strange, isn`t it?
