I jumped on the $750 off deal, so my lappy was around $800, which, all told, was a sweet deal.

The one you're looking at is a newer model, has twice the ram, a bigger screen, a Radeon 9700 vs a 9600, a bigger hard drive. And is only ~$400 more, so I'd say it's pretty hot.
