Need some help here

Conroe will be considerably faster ... the only way I'd consider the X2 is if your on a really tight budget & don't want to spring for DDR2 at the moment.

Actually I did just notice that you have the X2 paired with SLI so in games that correctly support it, that rig should be faster... however if you can afford it I'd say go with Conroe & grab a 2ed 7900gt later.

because its currently onsale, but i have to wait tell september so i doubt the sale well last that long.
