Need some help getting older games running

Hey guys. I've been trying to get older games to run on my computer. Dino Park Tycoon and Quake 1. They worked when I had Win 95 installed, but I can't get them to run right on my XP box. I know there's the compatbility option under the properties of the executeables but that doesn't seem to work. The wierd thing is on Dino Park Tycoon I can get the Producer screen to show up, but it will just sit there and won't load the actual game. Quake 1 just won't load period. I'm wondering if I should dig up an old Win95 CD and install it so I can play these games because I've got 50 more I'd play if I could. If you guys have any trick to get older DOS games running that'd be awesome.

Thanks,
PJ

For Dos games:
I would create a boot disk from bootdisk.com that had an older version of dos. Then you can load your dos games no problem.

For old windows games:
Can you boot from a USB drive? If you can, maybe you can use a zip-drive with a win95 image on it. Maybe create a bootable CD with a win95 image on it.

Hope one of these ideas help.

There's a website out there, I don't remember what it's exact address is, but It's like 2kcompatible.com or something similar (check google). They list most older games and if they'll run on 2k/xp or not, along with tips on how to get them running

Hahaha. I used to come here all the time. About the same time they changed the format of the forums here, I made a new account but stopped coming. That's why this is only my 2nd post even though I registered 4 years ago (Wow it's been that long, time flys)

Thanks for the help guys.
