I have tried every plug in USB device that they sell at Amazon and cannot get either the N64 or the Gamecube dongles to work.
I am using 64bit windows 8.1(someone some where else said that it could be that it is a 32bit driver and thus has problems. I have bought all four of the Mayflash dongles and none of them are working right.
Thank you

Not going to be a super helpful response, but the problems you face are multifold.

#1: hardware problems. Your controllers could be dead, the dongles could be dead, your USB port could be dead.

#2: software problems. The flash software which emulates the controller to a USB pluggable device may be corrupt. The software may also be incompatible with your version of windows. You also may have installed it improperly or activated the device improperly.

I wouldn't break too much sweat over this...XBOX controllers are far superior in my opinion for PC use.

The best thing to do, for Gamecube controllers at least, is to buy the official Wii U Gamecube USB adapter. The Dolphin emulator project developed drivers for it on PC and found the controller accuracy in Dolphin was practically 1 to 1 with using it native on the Gamecube, while the third party adapters all seemed significantly inaccurate (and an Xbox 360 controller was pretty drastically inaccurate). Those adapters don't come back into stock until May though.

I was trying to find a way to do this, and wasn't having any luck. (I didn't invest a lot of time...) I'm glad to see it wasn't something obvious. I'll keep an eye out of one of those adapters in May! Good info!

Everything was working fine until I re installed the OS(moved from one SSD to two in RAID0).
The ports are fine and so are the controllers(I have tested the controllers and adapters with another PC just to be sure that they are still good, like I said everything was working fine).

The Adaptoid was amazing but only has 32-bit drivers. Emulators had direct access and could even utilize Controller Pak, Microphone Pak, Bio-Clip, Transfer Pak, etc. N64 emulation works so much better without converting the circular axis range to a square PC axis range and back again.

A guy on Assembler Games said he could write 64-bit drivers but he needed one of my Adaptoids to do it. These things are way too valuable, unfortunately.

I remember adaptoids, I had four of them. Gave two away as gifts and kept two.
