need some help getting my first cell phone

Well, I'm finally going to take the plunge and get a cell phone. I saw the RAZR V3 in Hot Deals for free, after rebate. Uses Cingular. Basically I want a cell phone that can store phone numbers, has voice dialing, Bluetooth, and...well, that's it. Call easily and use a wireless headset. Any comments on this particular unit? How about Cingular? Never owned a cell phone before...

Everybody hates the phone...I own one and love it (although I might trade in for a SLVR). above average reception, works well with BT sets. Don't know about coverage out on the east coast though, that might vary.

I don't know why everyone hates the phone; I've held it in my hand and, while the thin thing is cool and all, I'm just not a fan of the ergonomics required to have a phone that thin.

It's nifty and stylish, but not for me.

Love it. Gets good reception, though not as good as my trusty Nokia 3390 though. BT accesories work decently. Nice screen and keypad. Overall it's more for looks than features.

Wow, free after rebate. To think I got it for free after rebate in Oct. 2004.

The wider size was a plus for me. My last phone was too thin and it was hard to dial with my big fingers.

i have teh black razr v3. its a very nice phone i have had no reception issues (cept for the metro tunnels) or issues with the phone in general. i would recomend it to anyone.

I like the razr but I prefer Motorola's bulkier phones like the v551 or the v600. The slim looks good, but doesn't feel as good to me.
