one of our clients hosts some websites, and one of their servers seems to be streaming videos alot slower..

can you check out this vid and see if it streams slow for you?

edit: removed link, cause it shows her boobies!

it was taking so long to stream that I didnt get to the juicy part before i posted the link.. now its fixed..

It's being slower than molasses in an Alaskan winter for me.

yea me too..

and im in the datacenter two local hops away from the server.

all of their other servers stream vids fast, but this one is dog slow. server doesn't looked hacked, no resources being used.. scratching my head..

and its not just the vids, i think the whole site is slow..

Yea, incredibly slow. I didn't feel like waiting anymore to see the feed load.

well i just replaced the cable wiht a new cable and changed the port on the switch.. still no faster.. im seeing collision warnings on the switch though, no matter what port its on. no other servers or ports are getting collision warnings..

nic card?

what, your fix for a slow stream was to hit it with the AT-effect? Does reverse psycholgy work on servers?

Yea, I just got my phd in computer pyschology.

haha, I just wanted to see if public connections outside of our network have problems.

They have a beefy server and a great connection so ATOT effect theoretically shouldn't hurt it..

you just got a PHD, and can't solve a simple issue like this?

lol, and everyone asks why I discount a college ed for networking jobs for new candidates. It's because you all come out with theory about 10 year old technology!
