Need some help fixing a phone

My mom spilled soda or some such on her phone, now the keys are pressed and stuck. I'm thinking of boiling some water and see if the steam helps fix it. I need opinions before I do this.

Tell your mom to switch to diet? It's not sticky when it dries... I'm just saying.

Make sure the battery is out and use rubbing alcohol and then let it dry out. Water doesn't evaporate in an ideal fashion for use cleaning electronics.
