Need some help finding an MP3 player with a proper mic-in jack to do voice recording for later transcription

I've been trying to find an MP3 player with a proper mic-in jack to do voice recording for later transcription, some mp3 players have "line-in encoding" but I've already have an Samsung YP-MT6 but the line-enc jack is not the regular headphone sized (1/4"?) jack, its even smaller (1/8?) and I don't want to get burned buying an MP3 player online who's jack I can't tell what size it is. I'm looking for one that has regular sized jacks (like on soundcards) so that I can simply plug a small headset and just record my thoughts more easily. I'm a prolific note-taker, my mind just spews data I want to keep around a lot of the time, just to make sure I never lose or forget the ideas that just pop into my mind.
