i need some help in building myself a machine. i am completely a software guy, and know very little about the difference in hardware. i will be doing Microsoft development (.Net). would a amd 2200+ or intel p4 2.4 chip be enough? what if any differnce would i find? mind you most of the machines i have worked on have been wintels, but i am very pro linux and wouldn't mind supporting the underdog if that was the wiser choice. i would like to watch my budget, but when i look at cpu prices the difference between the two mentioned above is only $80, do you get your moneys worth? also a motherboard suggestion to go w/ the cpu would be appreciated. thanks
