I have it hooked up to the VGA port and get a good picture on my lcd. The cable has RCA plugs built in and an optical connector. I bought a new optical cable today to hook it to the toslink connector on my built-in sound card which is a Sound Blaster Live! 24. It's on a MSI K8 Neo4 motherboard. I can see a red light coming from the 360 and both sides are firmly secured so I know light is traveling down the cable but yet I don't get any sound. I have set the dashboard to digital sound. Not sure what else I can try.

Thanks in advance!

If there's only one, it's probably just out.

Are you sure on the model of your motherboard? I tried to look up the Neo4 boards and I didn't see SB Live as the audio.

Yeah this is the motherboard. I just looked up the manual on a similar motherboard and it has both coax and optical OUT but not in...bummer. I'll just have to buy some RCA extenders and a 2 to 1 RCA to mini jack connector. No GoW tonight :|

Thanks to both of you for your quick help though.
