hey, i bought an emachines t2885 pc about 2 years ago and needed some help upgrading it. I just want to add a video card and some more ram but my current motherboard cant handle it and i was hoping that someone here could recommend a motherboard that is compatible with my pc. Heres some specs, lmk if you guys need anymore information

Intel Celeron 2.8GHz Processor 400mhz (codename: northwood?) socket 478
intel 1845g motherboard
512MB RAM (DDR SDRAM - 266MHz - PC2100)
256MB RAM (DDR SDRAM - 200MHz - PC3200)
Intel 845GV Graphics Controller
Installed Video Memory: 512MB / 1GB (max)
80GB standard IDE harddrive
Mid tower chassis: 7.2 in x 16 in x 14.1 in

I also have a 1gig ddr pc3200 400 mhz stick of ram and that I bought but cant use with my current setup :(

It would help if someone recommended a motherboard that can replace my current motherboard and is compatible with the 1 gig ram stick. Thanks in advance.

Well, that board will work with your processor ... but it isn't all that great of a board. I'm one of the many on here that won't use PC-chips because of problems like you're having. If you want a budget board, you'd be better off going ECS ... or springing just a bit more money for something MSI/ASUS/Gigabyte/Biostar.
