i know it sounds too retarded to be true but i have an Epson stylus photo ex, when you run low on ink and the warning light flashes you hit the button which brings the cartridges out to be changed. If the light isn't flashing the button does nothing.

That means that you can only change the cartridges when it runs out of ink but i wanted to put some cleaner through it to unblock the jets then replace my cartridges and i don't fancy having to empty my old ones then empty the whole cleaner cartridge to get there if you get me.

Is there a way to override the low ink warning and let me replace the cartridges when i choose?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

You all high tech with your "button"... try this.. get the ink cartridges to move out and PULL THE PLUG. haha.. *talk to the printer* you can't get that thing back in when U have no power... ha ha.

Once the cartridges are out of it's bay, it should be easily slide without power. With most printer, once you plug it back in it will try to reset the position of the cartridges so there shouldn't be any harm to the printer.
