HI All,
Ok Here goes. I just loaded xp on an abit at7. The via ide channels are occupied by cdrom,zip disk,cdrw and dvd drives. The hpt 374 drivers and infs were loaded when asked for by xp when booting from the cdrom.
Xp is installed on a 9gig scsi drive. There are 5 additional drives on the hpt controller. 2 are configured in a 80 gb raid 1 array the others are undefined as yet. the hpt controller is enabled in the bios and the management software is loaded and shows all of the drives and the raid1 array. I see all drives listed in device manager but of all 6 hd's only the 9gb scsi shows up under my computer. Should I be able to see the other drives in my computer's display ? If so any clues as to why they are not listed there?
