Need some GPU Advice

Currently running 2 x 4850 512MB in Crossfire, and I have a 24" Samsung display that I play in 1920 x 1200 resolution, PSU is an OCZ ModXstreme 500W.

Now, I'm looking for something that's not too much money that will perform decently enough for another 6-8 months. I'm just not sure which route to go...

2 x 4870 1GB CF
2 x 4890 1GB CF
4850 x 2 2GB
2 x 5770 1 GB CF (These only come in 128-bit...will that play a major factor in performance?)
Other..?

Any thoughts, advice, tips, etc. is welcome. I'll be making the purchase pretty much right after Christmas so I do have some time to think on it.

Maybe just a 5850 or 5870, is a 500W PSU good enough for 4870 and 4890 CF? My guess is no.

I would go for 5770's in crossfire.

5870 performance.
Low power usage. Less power then a 4850 and scales better in crossfire.
Direct x 11 freature set.
Runs cooler then the 4850.
1gb memory should help you over your 4850's with 512mb.

A good solid upgrade for 320$ and you don't need to upgrade your power supply.

Or you could spend 309$ for a 5850 for a little less performance but for all the reasons above.
Thats a good option too.

That's about the price range that I'm looking to spend, because I figure in a year or so I'll be doing massive upgrades all around and with that will be PSU/GPU so something that will work rather well with my current system is desired.

In regards to the 5770s, the turn off for me is the 128-bit...I actually can't remember the last time I used a 128-bit card. When they're CF'd together does that become a non-issue?

I agree with this also, but here is some benchmarks for the 5770 in crossfire vs the 5850 and 5870.

Its a 5770 tri-fire review (which don't scale well) but it has crossfire in there also.

Decide for yourself.
