Mediaone/ATT doesn't provide virtual hosting directly so I use
zoneedit

i just use geocities... it is convenient for a lot of things... uploading short sites for school projects, and for saving small files easily...

I have my own homepage.

I pay a host, because I do web design work, I like having more features (mySQL, PHP, Telnet Access, etc) and I like having control over all of the backend.
