ok i just got an amp to power 4 8" subs.....

I have a pioneer headunit and it has preamp outputs...

so i have everything hooked up... when i power on the head unit the amp comes to life....
but to get my subs to start working i need to figure out how to get my head unit to realize that something is attached. I'm suppost to just be able to go to the audio button then go to subw. and switch it to "on" so that my subs will go on... but that option isn't listed. I have no idea whats up and why it isn't listed. it was never listed before but i figured it was because cable wasn't hooked up through the preamp outputs.

My head unit is
Pioneer DEH-P3300
My amp is California 600SX

all ideas and suggestions welcomed

Thanks

Turn off your headunit by pressing the soruce buttong till the HU shuts off.

then hold the function button till it beeps. Then push the function button till you get something simliar to this:

Front +Rear

or

Front+Sub

Then press source and you should be able to hit audio and select the frequency and the loudness of your subs. At least thats' how it is on my DEH-P4300

Let me know if that helped any, If not we'll get it working :)
