Ok, first I am looking at buying one of these pairs of speakers:

Blaupunkt

Rockford fosgate 1

Rockford fosgate 2

On my blau head unit 35wx4... NO AMP yet, getting an amp as soon as I can afford it....

Just as importnatly.. I need to know where is a SAFE place to buy car audio online? is sounddomain good? how about etronics? I dont want cruchfield. crutchfield is so expensive I might as well just get it at BB Thanks!

Personally I'd go with the Rockford Fosgate 2369 if those were the only three choices given. Have you looked into Cerwin Vega or Infiniti at all?

If you are looking for bass why dont you just wait until you have enough money and do it right. Put in an amp and a sub. You should use the speakers for sound quality not bass.

because im looking for the nice bass that a good pair of 6x9/s can provide.. not the bass from a sub, which I dont have room for, and dont really want.

would someone please answer one of my questions?

You might be more satisfied with the 2 way Rockford Fosgate's. Really you should take a listen first before buying anything. The 3 way's might have a overly pronounced high/midrange and without equalization the bass would be overpowered. But then again the 3 way's might sound richer to your ears. In any case I would recommend a box for the 6 x 9's or you really wont have much bass.

I would not get any of those speakers. Rounds are always better then ovals. Always remember that. Have you looked at anything else but ovals? A set of 6.5's will fit without a problem in the area that a 6x9 uses.

If you are set with going with one of the three that you are looking at, I would have to say get the Blaupunkt set and it has a lower RMS (you do not have a amp, so you only have the power the unit pushes out to power them) and the Sensitivity is pretty good. With that inmind it wil put out more sound, with less power then the Fosgates will. I am not saying that the RF's are bad, but they are power hungry. You must take that into consideration when making your choice.

"Also whats the diff between 3way and 2 way speakers? why are the 3ways better?" Three ways are better becouse you are splitting all the sounds waves across three speakers, compaired to two. It will always sound better if you have certain sounds comming from diffrent speakers. Highs from the tweeter, mids from the center, and lows from the cone.
