Well believe it or not but I haven't had to update one for about 5 years now so I am a little rusty to say the least.
I am in the process of upgrading a system for a co-worker and to support a newer cpu it needs a BIOS update. The mobo is a Socket 478 Shuttle model with an AMI BIOS. The most recent version with the needed cpu support yields two files - a AMIXXX.exe file and a AXXXX.rom file.
I don't want to screw this up since this it isn't my system so if someone would be willing to let me know step by step my best course of action for update I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
