Okay, here's the box: Abit KT7-RAID (Rev1.1), A9 BIOS (stable that way since A9 release), TBird 750MHz (Gen4!!), Volcano 6Cu w/ASII, 384MB (3x 128MB) PC133 ECC CAS2.5 Samsung/IBM DIMMs, IBM Deskstar 120GXP, IBM DJNA 15.2G, Mylex BT950R, GeForce4 MX440 (Chaintech), ATI All-In-Wonder Rage128 (secondary for video input/TV tuner), SB AWE64 Gold. System has been running and stable for I'd say 2 and a half years now. CPU has only been MILDLY overclocked (whopping +8MHz FSB at peak), and has been under 50C except on 2 occasions, neither prolonged. (AFAIK max temp on this core revision is 60C+. Never had a temp alarm.) The usual Northbridge problems do not exist - using a CrystalOrb on the NB. Only fan hooked up to the board is the Volcano's. Board has not exhibited any odd behaviour, EVER. (GF4 being exception till I changed AGP driving value.)

Rebooted tonight, it stopped POSTing. I did a CMOS reset, still no POST. Removed all cards except GF4, still no POST. Removed GF4, put in ATI, no POST. Swapped around memory, no POST. Disconnected everything, no POST. I have no beeps, no display, no keyboard/mouse signal - but I do have voltage.

Is there anything I may have missed in the process? Is there a way to verify that it is indeed the CPU without an 80H card? Anyone in the Cleveland Ohio area got an 80H card I can borrow? :/ Thanks!

My best guess at this point is that it's one of 3 things, 1 your motherboard has failed (most likely), 2 some other compoent failed and it wasn't eliminated when you swaped viedo cards and it's causing your system not to post, or 3 your system is being shorted by somthing. At this point I would remove the motherboard from the case, and just try and get the system to work w/ 1 viedo card, 1 stick of ram and the CPU and then if this works add compoents from there to see whats causing the problem. Best of luck and Hope this helps....:)

I really REALLY doubted it was the board - it's a KT7-RAID. These boards are notorious for being bulletproof. (ie; You can't use dead board as an excuse to upgrade.) The most common problem is northbridge fan failure - eliminated by the CrOrb. I pulled the board, tried, nothing. Nothing nothing nothing. Went through the memory - even used known good DIMMs. (PC133 from my BP6 - bulletproof if you ignore the caps.) NOTHING. Not even BEEPS. The KT7-RAID won't beep if it's CPU tho. (Know this because the first CPU in it was bad.) Three video cards used in testing, on top of the GF4 and ATI. Stealth2000 PCI 4M, FireGL 1000 Pro (which was in there before the ATI for my hydra setup), and a #9 Revolution IV (borrowed from BP6). No POST.
*sigh* I need an 80H card to see if the board's even giving a code. But I have a funny feeling that you're right, and it is the board. :( IDE isn't spinning up.

Well even if it's getting voltage it's still possible it could be your powersupply, I'd suspect that over the processor as they pretty rarely fail once they've been up and running as long as yours has been w/out issue, but I'd still suspect the motherboard based on the symptoms, I'd suggest trying your processor in a different motherboard, if you don't have one PM me I'm also a Clevelander (east side). Hope this helps....:)
