I've been in paintball for a few years, and I'm interested in Airsoft. From what it seems to me from a poll that was in here earlier, most paintball players who try Airsoft end up sticking with Airsoft.

So, I'd like to try it.

But I don't know where to begin! I'm basically a paintball expert, but a COMPLETE newbie when it comes to Airsoft!

This is what I need:
info on what types of guns are good
what powers the guns
good places to buy airsoft stuff

GOOD LINKS ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED. I need to learn everything I can about this sport. I'm looking to buy a good gun for under $200. Thanks a lot, guys :)

By the way, can I use my paintball masks for Airsoft? Do they use the same masks?

Anything else you guys can think of to tell me would be great!

Yeah! Im a airsoft freak!

Whatever you do, do not get a gun made ICS, Y&P, or Academy

The best would be to get a gun made buy Tokyo Marui or Classic Army (CA), I Am assuming your talking about a automatic electric gun (AEG) and not gas.

Airsoft Zone has the best forums for airsoft talk.

Powers of stock Tokyo Marui guns are ~300 fps. Good places to buy airsoft is here or here. Those are USA dealers (alot more expensive) Hong kong dealers sell them wayyy cheaper but shipping is about 60 HK dealer HK Dealer 2 and HK Dealer 3. Or you can resort to ebay.

Besure to get a gun that has trademarks (like H&K and COLT) Some guns have the trademarks removed because they were not used with permission from the gun manufactures and some are intact. The HK dealer usually tape up the trademarks so customs can't see or just put removable putty on em. It gives more of an "authentic" look.

Good starter guns is the M4, Mp5 (most common) You can use your paintball masks for airsoft but you would look like a freak when everyone is dessed up as swat team and such wearing balacalvas and tatical goggles/ replica kevlar helmets.

anymore questions, PM me or AIM me or just post here so everyone can see.
