Ok, i got a setup from my aunt a little while back, not sure of working condition.

P2 - ?mhz - 128MB Ram - S3 video - 200w PSU....can't get it to post or anything, the fan on the cpu does come on though, and the psu appears to work, no beeps or anything.

I tried a different psu w/ the same results.

I got an AthlonXP 2400+ (uknown status) can't get it to post....gotta new chip (from here) 1800+, it also, does not post/beep or anything. Got 2 boards, both do the same thing (nothing) one supports both ddr and sd, so i tried both with no results and i know the SD for sure works, un-sure on the DDR though.

Anything you guys can think of? Like i said, i've tried different psu's, as well as KNOWN working pci/agp video cards...can't get a beep, post or anything!

try just cpu, 1 stick of ram, video card, mobo, and power supply only. have everything else dissconnected (you probably did this for both setups) if no post, but fans spin, try clearing the cmos, taking the battery out after disconnecting the power, (i like to power the system up even though it wont, just to drain what ever power is in the system after the battery is taken out before putting it in to make sure the cmos cleared, its fun to watch the fans try to spin up for 1/3 of a rotation) once you put the cmos battery back in, try to post, if nothing, try to post with no ram in the system, if you have a pc speaker connected to the "speaker" pins on the motherboards, you should hear beeps once you remove the ram and try to post, if you still dont hear beeps, the motherboard is bad then.
