need some advice please

hey guys. ive read a couple of threads around here with people having issues while over clocking with SATA hard drives. this drive is teh one im looking at getting. will i have this issue with my drive dissapearing when i overclock my cpu. i have 512 pc3200 mushkin ram, on a asus p4p800 deluxe mobo with a 2.8 E p4. thanks!

Never heard of that issue. I don't have any experience with SATA drives but I could see there being a problem if you were overclocking your FSB and your sata chip is on the PCI bus. That would maybe cause some problems if you didn't have the PCI lock enabled. Some motherboards don't have this option.

yea this is what i was refering to. i dont have my motherboard currently, its out for RMA, anyone know if the asus p4p800 has the pci lock or not? or can anyone give me any ideas on how to avoid this other than not overclocking?
