HI

i'm just looking for some advice before i format my hard drives. I have a server with linux (ubuntu) on it. I want to store my music and videos and stuff on it, and be able to access all of my media from other computers around the house. The other ciomputers are running windows XP.

I don't think i want to format the drives as NTFS because i won't be able to add/remove stuff form them in the linux server will I? And i dont' want to format them with a linux file system because then i won't be able to add/remove/view files from the windows machiens. Which do i use? i guess FAT32? isn't there some limit to file size that will be a problem with FAT32? thanks a lot.

Well, if its over a network, you don't have to worry about that. You can have any partition you want on each computer, you just have to setup samba on both computers and then you can read/write to each other's disks.
