I'm currently a freshman majoring in computer science. Next year I'm going to be a sophomore. I don't know if CS is right for me (I know that if I should think about that then it isn't right for me). I sort of want to switch majors, probably to a bio major. Maybe still major in CS but have a minor in bio. I've been given the impression that all CS is about is sitting in front of a computer all day long. Yeah I know there are more things than that but not much more. Is there anything one can do in bio? Are there any hot bio jobs right now? TIA :)

Look into Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.

You can get in on the cutting edge of technology.

you are welcome ... but the best way would be to look into the different universities web pages and see the current working going on at your level ... it will also tell you what you need to take it as a career

Haha, I was a CS major, back in the days of the dot.com's. But then i realized I didn't want to spend all my time programming and that i didn't really have any interest in it at all, besides just making money with it.

So once I got my minor, I switched to mechanical engineering which was the best decision of my life, considering I am actually interested in the classes I am taking.

In the end, self-interest is a much better motivator than greed when it's 3 AM and you are working on a project, lol.
