I haven't made any purchase yet, but am still looking. I found a couple of cars that I could use someone else's input on.
1st: 94 mx-5. Stock, great shape, 89k miles. They are asking $5,400 for it.
2nd. 87 rx-7 turbo. Stock, great shape, 104k original miles. Asking $5,700.
I am leaning towards the miata for several reasons. Gas mileage, reliability, ease of DIY and relatively cheap parts. The rx-7 seems it would have a higher cost of ownership than the mx-5, through gas mileage, and the fact its an old car. However, the insurance would be cheaper on the rx-7, since convertible suck. However, you don't see many rx-7's around here.
Anyone care to chime in?
