I'll be interviewing with a firm next week, that I had interviewed with in the past (a year ago). I had reached the second round, before getting rejected. I'm starting from the bottom of the interview process again. I want to know if its a good idea to mention to my interviewer that I had interviewed with them in the past?

The positive I see is that they might see a genuine interest of mine to work for them.

The negative is that they might think that there must be a reason I was rejected in the past and so might have a negative view of me.

What do you think, should I or shouldnt I mention that I interviewed with them before?

well were you truly "rejected" because you had actual negative qualities the first time through, or did they simply find more qualified people?

I'm not sure, I did get a few of the questions he(one of the interviewers) asked me wrong. I interviewed with 6 people and only goofed up on one of them.

in general i wouldn't bring it up unless they bring it up. as much as it may show your interest in the firm, there may also be the natural tendency to think "why did we ding him the first time?"... and chances are, at least 1 of those 6 people you interview with will think this even if they say nothing.
