as the summary states, is the ?Spire RockeTeer II 400W Silent worth anything? i've never heard of Spire Power supply's any my dad's PSU is nearly dead. there aren't many available in my area as i'd like and i found this for a very good price. the rig i'll be running this is as follows:
AMD Athlon XP 2400+
ASUS A7N8X-X
2 HDD's IDE
One Lite-On CD burner
a couple of fans.

will it suffice? i especially like the 120MM fan. anybody have any experience with them? Thanks in advance.

No, and unless it's free, it isn't worth the money, IMO. This is a very good power supply, at a great price: ePower Puma II, as is this one: Enermax Whisper II 465P. That last one will power a 2.7Ghz Athlon64, two hard drives, 2 optical drives, 2GB of RAM, two 120mm fans, and a pretty fast video card, and still give you voltages like this: screenshot.

edit: Make sure that whatever power supply you buy doesn't have a 24-pin power connector. 20+4 is just fine, but trying to run a 20-pin motherboard with a 24-pin psu can be done, but you'll want to know what you're doing before trying it, I would think.
