hey guys,

do u guys know of any good software out there (similar to RoboDEMO) that can record all things on your screen along with a phone conversation?

the purpose of this is my company wants to start recording web meetings. The meetings generally last 1.5-2 hours and involves a phone conference as well as a computer that demos a new application over WebEx.

We have a webex subscription and it allows it all to be recorded. Check C:\My Recorded Sessions or something of that nature. It should be there.

Another option, if your computer has the guts for it, is Windows Media Encoder 9 Series, a freebie download from Microsoft. Simply hook up an area mic and have it capture audio along with the screen activity. I recently did a 1hr 10m session at 800 x 600 HQ on an AthlonXP rig, and it came out to about 48MB, not quite email-friendly but still something you could put on a memory stick or a CD, or store on your file server.

If you try that, just do a little test and watch your CPU usage to ensure that the system doesn't start falling behind (reduce screen resolution if necessary). If there's a daily antivirus scan scheduled, check that it's not going to coincide with your meeting, too.
