need software to protect files from deleting.

Is there software that can secure folders or files from deletion with password or something?
But I want it to work on exterior hard drive so when I take it to someone elses pc there was no way to delete something form it by accident.

thank you aceman817 I tried them but it doesn't work when I move drive to another pc. ANd this is why I want to protect it.

Depends upon what OS you're using on this hard drive. Any NT based operating system (2000/XP/NT) will allow for permissions to be set on a per user basis and you can easily set the permissions sot hat users will be allowed to read from that directory but not write/delete/etc.
