True. But Thermalright did make a couple of similar heat sinks for Socket A, with the name SI-97 for one of them, if you locate one still available for sale. I used a couple of Vantec Aeroflow TMD devices with good success. Quiet, but very efficient. There is no center hub for the fan motor, so the air is well distributed. The fan blades are driven from their tips. Neither cheap, nor expensive, and generally still well distributed in the marketplace.Originally posted by: sm8000
