I've been snowboarding for 2 years, but i didnt snowboard last year. My board is way to small for me (im 6'3", my board is a 149cm). I need to get a new board and boots. I'm 6'3" but only weigh about 150 cause i grew a lot recently, im 18y old. My shoe size is 13. What size board should i get, and should i get a "wide" board?? What brands do you people reccommend? I would like to get a decent board for around $200.

I dont do much in the way of tricks, just grabs, 180's and 360's. So i want a board good for carving, decently fast, i dont know, just a general decent board, i wont be using the halfpipe, but prolly getting some air of jumps, so it would be nice to get a board that does a good job at absorbing shock.
I found someone selling a Allian 161 ProSeries 03/04 NEW for $225. How does that look?
He said that he knows someone with the board that has size 13 shoe and that person doent get heel or toe drag when he places the binding a little bit back on the board. Hmm... still looking around tho.. Let me know what you think.

TTT, so do i need wide or not?
When i went to a local shop the guy said i definately need a wide board. At the-house.com they got an Evol Metro 160cm or 168cm Wide Snowboard for $179,a Lamar Hexan Wide 165cm for $229, a Nitro Griffin 164cm Wide Snowboard for $179.

Good afternoon,
Just came back from a weekend of snowboarind at Tahoe.

What is your budget for equipment?

It's not just the snowboard, but the boots and bindings of course.

Can you wait until the end of the season to buy a new board?

Yes, your 149cm board is wildly small for you, enough that you probably are experiencing stability issues at speed.

since your shoe size is pretty big, you'll need to get a wide board w/ most bindings.. actually w/ 13s, you'll have to get wides..

the best way to find out about snowboarding config is to goto a local skateboard/ snowboard shop. the staff's usually really helpful and know a lot. short boards are more for tricks, so you'll need to get yourself a bigger board

i'm still trying to imainge a 150lb 6-3 kid.. you need about 40 lbs of meat on you dude!!
