Friend of mine just came into a nice inheratence, and needs a new car, she has a couple of big dogs & wants an SUV, less than $20K.. Her SO just died this spring so I'm going to help her negotiate the car/price, etc...

I'm thinking a Honda Element, Hyundai Santa Fe, Jeep Liberty

Suggestions, comments?

Actually the Kia Sorrento looks pretty damn sweet. Especially coming from Kia.
I bet you anything if it was from Toyota with the same design it would sell like hot cakes.

I really like the Grand Vitara tho.

Meh, i'm not that big on the Grand Vitara... however, if they sold the Escudo Pike's Peak Edition... (based on the GV) :D

The Kia offers a whole lot of standard features for under $20K. Couple that with their outstanding warranty, and you have yourself a recipe for a winner.

Well I kindal ike the Grand Vitara cuz it's not that expensive and it offers a V6 that's the same size as a CR-V
that car flies. Well compared to the CR-V that is.

I second this, my mother has one and it's a pretty nice ride.

I third this, also did excellent in recent side crash tests.

Or a Mazda Tribute or Honda CR-V.
