perhaps the work function of Li listed in your textbook reference table or something is a bit different than the 2.9 eV i found on google.

2.9 eV sounds right though. Anyways, I'm just going to ask a TA tmrw. I'll update with the answer. You're probably on the right track tho, but I just want a solid answer -__-v
