My parent's are going to need several peripherals for their new business that they are going to open soon.
As far as the peripherals go they just need to be fast and hold a good amount of paper.
I'm going to need the following:
Black and White Printer
Color Printer
Fax
and a Copier.

What brand and model peripherals would you guys recommend?

Thanks,
Gilbert

As far as the money would 2 grand be a good amount?

You can start with these:
HP Color 3600n Printer
HP Color Copier 610
HP 1250 FAX

I recommend separate machines because if any goes down, the business isn't crippled.

The Color copier is also a printer. A backup, in case the Color Laserjet goes down. The laserjet does B/W prints in large volumes.

Since your parents are started a new business, my recommendation is that they consider leasing their equipment for 3 yrs, and replace them later with newer and updated versions, as their business grows. Less capital expenditure is a good thing when starting a new business.
The lease on these 3 machines will be <$100/month.

I'm kinda skeptical if I should get the color copier since it's discontinued. I can't also find it.

The HP Color Copier above is a direct link to the HP website. You can get the newest version by called HPs 800 Number. If there's a newer version available, the HP Customer Service Associate will mention that. Strange, that the pictured version is now discontinued. Very Interesting........

Walmart and Office Max carry the HP 610 here, in Hawaii. Call HP's 800 number for availability. EBay has it too, found 4 listings today.

Redundency is always good----consider also getting a Canon MP 780. You may still be available as low as $100.00 after rebates at Fry electronics or outpost.com.

Its an inkjet, does not have super paper capacity, but it does, print, scan, copy, fax, and has a ADF. If you refill your own ink the consumable costs will come in even cheaper than a Laser.

I don't have a MP780---I am still using the one generation back MP730 which is very similar.

Then if any piece of leased or purchased office equipment has to be repaired, you have a backup.---and who knows---you might even use the MP780 more.
