Ever since I lost my connection to the net threw cable I have not been able to flush and fetch new WU automaticly. Even when I got cable back. It still doesn't work. It worked before just fine. But when it couldn't find a connection when my cable went down I shut it down. Now it seems like it doesn't do anything and it gets stuck at 101.00%. I use SetiHide. And I have 24.25.120.113 for the Proxy IP addy and 5001 for the proxy port. I have SetiHide pointed at seti.exe right. But it's stuck with a full WU and it won't connect threw my cable modem. I also have the setting set to online.
It also is stuck at not working. Even when I click on Start SETI client. It doesn't do anything. Is this a case of lost WU and reinstall of SetiHide and SETI.EXE?

Someone Please help...... Thanks.....

{EDIT}Oh and I have tried flushing it manualy but it doesn't work either.{/EDIT}

It works great without seti hide but I go threw Orange Kids Proxy. And I kinda like having those stats. I hate tring to find the ones on Berkleys......

Now I try to del all the seti files I have and it says it's being used by windows. I do a CTRL+ALT+DEL and it's not listed...

Did I get a damn virus?

thats interesting... try a reboot? you can set the proxy setting for seti without setihide. -proxy orangekid.teamanandtech.com:5001

NM..... I just del the whole dir. Lost the client and WU and now can't find the right command line client. I will work on this when someone makes a little sense out of the download site. There is about 15 different I386 clients and none is for win98. So I give up......

Wolfie,

it's a bug with SetiHide...

It will be sorted in the new version.

Usually a manual flush/fetch will get it going again, failing that a reboot.

Thanks Guys. and Sorry about the ranting ElFenix. I had just got back from doing a DJ thing and got home late. It was 2AM when I was having the problem. Was kinda tired and craby. Nothing personal.....

I will see if this thing gets going or not....

Just reinstalled the client and setihide. All seems to be working for now. But I will see how it flushes later on. Thanks for the help all......

I hope you solved your problem.

In case you still have a problem. How about running SETI Driver instead? It can be run as a service in either Windows 98 SE or Windows 2000.🙂
